these paint chips have been hanging here since before i went away to grad school. i think we decided on the lower left one but obviously the painting hasn’t gotten done yet. now peter’s thinking of a deep orange to match some vintage barkcloth curtains kelly gave me. i think our previously chosen green matches the curtains too, so we may have to arm wrestle for it. which means it’ll probably end up orange. whatever colour it ends up being, i don’t intend for that ugly lamp to be part of our new bedroom.

five years in this house and not only have we not painted, we haven’t even taken down the blind that was in the window when we bought the place. the SPONGE PAINTED blind. ugh, i know.
